Corrections

Errors are fixed in place with a dated notice on the affected page, and every notice is logged here permanently — including after the page itself has been corrected. The policy lives on the methodology page; to report an error, use the contact address on the security page.

Certified briefs are the one exception to fixing in place: a brief already in circulation is never edited. A correction to one is issued as a new document with a new identifier and hash, and the notice here points at the brief it replaces.
